Not necessarily- It could be that the fighting itself was serious more than the context of the conversation, however if was serious such as cheating there would be alot more fights going on and alot more drama. I believe the fight was serious not that anything bad has happened and that they are giving each other time and space to think about it. I think

Hmmm i just hope u are right and that they manage to solve all this because i cant stand the atmosphere in our house ..
