    So actually you cant lie.....
So ive posted here before - a few times first to ask if i could lie to a psychiatrist, second to say ive lied to the psychiatrist and feel crap about it, and now this time to say that actually the crap didnt wash!!

Emotionally unstable personality disorder it is!!

So to anyone else who is emotionally unstable tell me what I have to do to at this dialectical behavioural therapy? Sounds like *******s to me, and if i still want to do my chosen career after i graduate then i still have to go.

Emotionally unstable i mean what the bloody hell is that for a diagnosis? To a degree everyone is emotionally unstable, i mean have psychiatrists ever been into the girls toilets in a club in the early hours of a Saturday night? Theres tonnes of emotionally unstable people in there!

Emotionally unstable personality disorder is more commonly known as borderline and is most commonly (and effectively) treated with DBT.

Mind has a great article on both: http://www.mind.org.uk/help/medical_...aviour_therapy

I am also having Dialectical Behavioural Therapy starting in September for Borderline Personality Disorder. For me it's 3 hours a week, 2 hour group sessions and 1 hour one-to-one. Also diary cards or something? It's for a year also. Quite a commitment and quite scary. But if it'll help I'm up for anything. Good luck.

So basically i have to go spill out loads of random (and untrue/made up emotions) about how crap a childhood i had and im cured?
Theres people on here who really seek a diagnosis of being emotionally unstable, or borderline or whatever the spiel is and actually need the "therapy".

Six hours doesnt sound too bad. If im cured of my personality in six hours im sure i can stick that out! Diary cards? What does that mean?

I hope you are being sarcastic. Unless you would like to go to "therapy" for me?

emotionally unstabled personality disorder (BPD) have 3 main type : borderline , agressive and explosive . do you know which type you are .

some people really hate and dont want the diagnosis of BPD as it required long term treatment and it often give a very negative impression . everyone could be emotionally unstabled at time , but it is worse and much more severe in BPD case . My health care team tell me it is a bit like severe bipolar but way more frequent and it is often cause by small matter of things .

thearpy will help a lot to manage behaviour and emotional distress a client is experiencing .its worth thinking if it had been provided to you .

good luck , take care .

Oh I will do im so looking forward to it.
I will probably need to apologise to the person who does it for wasting their time. I told the psychiatrist he was wasting his time. Psychiatrists are weird people arent they??

I dont know - i just hate to think people think my personality is wrong. I mean how can someones personality be wrong? Its not distressing me - its more for the benefit of other people that I have to go.

    Why did you say client?

If you carry on lying, you will never fix the problems.

Usually, people seek help because they want to have a better life in some way. If you are not honest, things won't get better.

If everything is ok, why are you under a care team in the first place?

Have you ever considered that you just need to get on with your life and chill out a bit?

I don't mean to be harsh (I can sense the negs), but all these fancy names for different disorders are just labels. They don't mean anything really do they? Nobody was diagnosed with this condition a hundred years ago were they, but the world still turned and people got on with their lives. I often wonder if the culture we live in these days does more harm then good. It seems every other person has some sort of disorder, be it a learning disorder, personality disorder, emotional disorder, mental disorder etc. Perhaps labelling things helps people to deal with it, but perhaps it just gives people the impression that there actually is something wrong with them, as opposed to they just are who they are.

Why is one person sensitive whereas another is emotionally unstable? Why is one person stupid and another dyslexic? Before someone points it out, I 100% understand that these are different things (no... I'm not saying dyslexic people are stupid!), but what I don't understand is why we as a society label certain differences as 'conditions' or 'disorders' (dyslexic) and others as normal traits (intelligence)? Bit off topic, but easier to make the comparison with that example IMO.

Then again, I'm just giving an opinion with no in depth knowledge of any of the aforementioned conditions, so perhaps I'm talking crap. Just my thoughts on the matter anyway

I cant help but agree with you on the personality disorder thing. However if its causing the person distress then fair enough you should do something about it. But if its no - e.g. me, then giving me a label its just going to piss me off more.
Who does some stupid jumped up psychiatrist think she is? Tell me about your childhood, if its crap then your obviously unstable.

Maybe i like all of the things i do. Doesnt make me have a personality disorder.
Thanks person who posted this - i ws beginning to get sucked in to the lies but now i realise that i dont need to be.

I think that you seem like a nice person.
So i will tell you. The uni had concerns, so they forced me to go and see a psychiatrist, who the came up with this. I think its because they dont know what to do with me, so they are just going to make up lies about me.

I'm kinda curious as to how they developed concerns.

Did they stick cameras in your accommodation?

WERE THEY WATCHING YOU IN THE SHOWER?

a lack of insight in the damage and distress you cause is common with EUPD and to some extent goes hand in hand with most PDs

and for the use of the terminology 'client' it's deemed politically incorrect to refer to 'service users' / ' clients' as 'patients' in mental health settings - this is a reaction that remains from the transition from the institutional model of care as practiced in the asylums and 'mental hospitals' to the kind of provision we see now.

if the person who wrote the message you replied to is a service user who is active in patient particuipation etc ( and tall the foundation trust stuff) or working in a mental health setting it's normal terminology ...

I dont want to be called a client. To me client means prostitute, if i got called a prostitute then i would show then exactly how emotionally unstable i could be!!

But im not hurting anyone, the person who i supposedly offended convieniently had someone there all times whenever i was around. Interestingly immature dont you think especially for someone in their position.

From reading this you do come across as someone incapable of coping on their own with... Whatever your issues are, so you should probably at least try out these sessions.

A client obviously does not always mean 'prostitute', and in the end it's just a word.

Just because it's not causing you distress doesn't mean it's not affecting your life negatively. I don't know you, but if your irl personality is anything like your TSR personality, it probably is.

Well if they call me a client then im telling them.
Why would i be different in real life?
So many people just have a problem with me. I dont get it, maybe everyone else is mentally unstable and im normality? Why am i not allowed to be as i want? If society sees you as abnormal. Thats on my record now forever.
