What the hell did I just read?


Literally, about once a year I summon up the patience to read a Daily Mail article. There's a reason it is so well known for being the dailyfail.


On a side note it'd be great if Britain was coming last in the relay and a spaceship beamed up every other country.

Well the MoD took the potential threat seriously enough to set up a whole department that dealt with reported UFO encounters and he isn't the first former member of that now allegedly defunct department to raise concerns.

It's not completely untrue that it is hypothetically possible that the launch of nuclear weapons could have alerted another civilization that was roughly as advanced as we are now to our position however that would be limited to pretty much our solar system so the chances are slim.

This is sensationalism though and we don't need to "prepare" as that would be pointless since we have no idea what we would be up against but if as a planet we should be keeping an eye out i would say yes, think the UN already have a department set up to deal with the potential meeting of new species so we should get ready for the inevitable time when they screw that up and we are at war.

There's more likely hood that any 'alien' invasion would be a staged one, and that much of the ufo sightings and coverage since the 40's has been drip fed into society to make people believe that there's a possibility.
However, an actually alien contact is one of the things I would most like to experience before I die.
