Hello,everyone
I want your kind advice on which university to select for Masters as below.

Please, Help me choose between these two universities only.


University of Strathclyde (MSc Business and Management) V/S Manchester Business School (MSc Management).


Other universities suggestion are welcomed

Sheffield is the quite good, I have a friend who studied a masters in management there two years ago. He says it's really good.

I have the same issue with you but i applied for MSc International Marketing to University of Glasgow, Birmingham unis, and Newcastle unis. I love student life in Newcastle, love the reputation and the buildings in Glasgow and many of my friends told me to choose Birmingham university. The course is CIM accredited both in Birmingham unis and Newcastle unis but not in Glasgow unis but Glasgow unis has the highest ranking especially Its business school (rank 9 - The Guardian, 2013). It is quite confused now, please hep me to make decision. I already made up a poll here. I wanna see the perception of people about these unis. Thanks,

BTW, Steve i think you should go for MBS. It is a great unis, great global reputation. The only bad thing which i heard about this unis is the low rate of student satisfaction due to the large number of students. I did applied to MBS but i got a rejection. Anyways, If i was you, i would go to MBS. Cheer,

Dear,B_boy sorry to hear that you got rejection from MBS. I got a conditional offer from MBS MSc management, now I am confused between University of Strathclyde (MSc Business and Management) VS Manchester Business School(MSc Management).

They are actually all very prestigious universities. So whatever choice you make out of these would be fine!

If I had to choose out of these I'd say Durham or Manchester, if not those go for Sheffield!

Have Lancaster and/or Liverpool as insurances ! (Even though they also are good!)

It's all up to you mate. But if you ask me, I'd go for Manchester Business School due to the reputation.

To be honest, the "Business" part in the course is better than only management in many cases, but it's pretty hard for us to help you if we don't know what you have studied for your undergrad and also what you want to do after uni.

Manchester is generally a better uni than Strathclyde, but the course at Strathclyde seems broader due to the Business in it.

But it depends on what your goal is afterwards and actually maybe also other things such as the city you might enjoy the most (Manchester or Glasgow in this case).

So give us some more info and we'll try helping ya even more mate! :-)

University of Manchester is ranked among the top universities of world that everyone is aware about, due to its location and overall years of reputation, where as its master is ranked 58 and on the other hand University of Strathclyde 26 in Masters in Management 2011 ranking by ft.
I am so confused because Strathclyde course is good but university is not so know in the world, plus city is not so industrialized and happening as compared to Manchester. I don't care about night life for which Manchester is best place, my main preference is do the right course from right place.
I have done Bachelor of Business Administration from India and I am the topper of my university (CGPA 9.14/10, Grade A) IELTS 7 band. My goals are to achieve a reputed managerial job in Canada respectively as my family lives there and even wouldn't mind taking up a job in U.K for a year or more for experience

Hi there...out of the two universities you've selected I'd choose Manchester...although I recommend you also check out Cass Business School in London, its ranked the number 1 Business school in London and 3rd in the UK and is a very well respected postgraduate business school

Thanks, for replying viksta. I would have applied in Cass and would have looked for other better options as-well, but I am late now as international students seat are almost over in all best universities. Earlier my plans were for UBC Canada but some how it changed to U.K as I wanted come here and study from long time.

See if you look at the course strath has the edge and plus you can convert it to mba after 3 years this is the biggest advantage.Strath is one of the first school to start the master in management or business management in uk.But in your case if you will be heading to Canada after msc then Manchester will be good choice as it has good overall reputation and is a brand name.Choice is yours.

I am also looking forward for the same i have offers from Bradford and Durham
