Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
Stop daydreaming.
Don't worry if other people lose their virginity before you.
Stop causing unnecessary drama.
Life is not as bad as you think it is.
The world does not revolve around you.
Don't let people tell you your not good enough to be a designer because you are.
Be nicer to your parents and try to tidy your room because you still haven't learn to tidy yet.
Don't give up the viola or the tuba - you'll regret that the most.Last edited by DANdeLion5; 08-06-2012 at 15:54. Reason: added extra -

Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
I wouldn't really know what to say that would be genuinely useful to me at 13. Plus I'd be worried I'd end up really screwing things up, but if I had to send a message of some sort it'd be this:
"In roughly three years time you'll meet a girl with short hair and big tits, do you best to stay away from her."
It probably wouldn't change anything but it's worth a try.

Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old selfI can't remember that much, only the basic gist of what went on, and I'm probably younger than you!(Original post by insignificant)
Is it bad that I can't remember what I was like at 13? I really can't remember anything. -
Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old selfOh, how I'd missed the patronising comments of TSR.(Original post by detinus)
Why would you start saving at 13 for monthly payment that you don't pay until you're earning £21k?
Do you not understand the new system?
I understand the system. I was thinking more of saving so I'd have more put away to live on, thus reducing the total amount of debt I was in at the end. -
Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
Leave your group, and don't fall in with a group of girls again, too much hassle.
Move on from him, it won't happen.
Don't bother with facebook for 3 or so years.
Get fit and lift weights now.
You will be a very late bloomer. Embrace it.
You won't be tall. Don't cry too much. -
Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
I love this thread

I would say...
Things will get bad and then they get worse but in about 7 years they start to get better.
You look like a mess now but you won't stay like that and you will get better looking as you get older.
Don't do anything different otherwise you won't meet your husband and the friends you know now - OK maybe you could go without doing a couple of things that you will regret later on, but mostly just keep doing what you are doing.
Be their for mum, she needs you.
Oh and be nice to your sister for God's sake! You can't stand her now but she will become your best friend and the person you can tell anything to.
love the 28yr old you. -
Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
Don't be so shy when you move school, most people there are quite nice.
Be more optimistic.
The world doesn't revolve around you.
Try and get to school on time.
Don't worry about the bullies, you'll be better off than them in a year or so.
Don't worry about how you look like so much, you'll cringe so much at your make up and you don't need it all.
Keep reading, you'll still love it in a few years and be more confident

Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
Don't worry about things so much, they have a habit of working themselves out
Things will get better
If you. Act confident, eventually you will feel it
If you love yourself others will start to as well
Dont worry so much about appearance, true friends couldn't care less what you look like
Boys will break your heart but may also make you very happy. At 13 don't worry about this though, you are not being left behind if you are single haha -
Re: If you could write a letter to your 13 year old self
Start eating healthier foods.
Don't just work non-stop in class, talk with friends and others a bit more but don't end up under achieving.
Make a habit of reading, homework, social time and hobbies as opposed to watching tv all day every day.
Forget about your Mum and most others as they don't care.
Don't worry about money and material objects so much as they don't fill the void.Last edited by consumed; 08-06-2012 at 18:04. -
Start going to the gym and work on physical appearance.
Eat properly, healthily.
Ignore all those girls in school, they dont care and will just waste your time.
Save money
Do some crazy stuff, but dont over do it, just enough for some interesting and fun memories / stories
Take bike test after cbt
