New phone on contract / buy new phone?
Not sure what to do and could do with some help please.

Currently have a Blackberry 8520. Originally got it because I was struggling with the T9 keypad. I am now struggling with the screen size. (even on the largest font)

Changed contract in December and can upgrade from October 31st.

My only option now seems to be touchscreen.

I don't use my phone enough to justify a contract over £15p/m. Looking at Vodafone (current network) there doesn't seem to be much choice. Many of the decent ones are £26p/m plus.

Dad has suggested looking into Virgin; as we already have phone, internet and TV with them.

I've been with Vodafone for about 3 and a half years now and would rather stay with them. I know I can part exchange my current phone or something.

Feature wise of the phone - just need internet, music player and a calender.

If you've been with vodafone for that long it might be worth trying to haggle a better deal on a decent phone with them? If you look around on sites such as Carphone Warehouse you might find better deals, just threaten Vodafone to leave and they'll probably try and match it.

Bargain with Vodafone: haggle by saying you're a loyal member/enjoy the brand/would appreciate better details for your continuing loyalty.

If not go to Virgin. They have some decent deals on average phones (which seems to be what you're looking for) if you're a Virgin customer already!

Have settled on the Huawei Ascend. Very nice phone. It's PAYG on Vodafone; so still have my contract with them.
