How to work out what grade I need at A2 to get an A overall?
I'm panicking a bit about next week. I've got Politics unit 3c on Monday, and 4c on Thursday, with History in between on Tuesday. I am trying to work out what I need in each exam to get an A overall, as I need three A's for uni. Can anyone help me with history and politics?
At AS I got:
OCR HISTORY: MODERN 1783-1994 F961B - 81 (A)
OCR HISTORY: MODERN 1774-1975 F964B - 80 (A)
EDEXCEL GOVERNMENT & POLITICS 1 6GP01 - 92 (A)
EDEXCEL GOVERNMENT & POLITICS 2 6GP02 - 60 (C)
I retook Unit 2 politics this summer but obviously don't know what I got, so let's just pretend I'm still on a C which to be perfectly honest is possible as I did crap. -
Re: How to work out what grade I need at A2 to get an A overall?
For history, you need 159/200 at A2 for an A, 180/200 for an A*
for politics, you need 168/200 for an A, 180/200 for an A*.
This is providing all the units have equal weighting and you don't improve upon your retake, which I'm pretty sure you will.Last edited by AspiringGenius; 08-06-2012 at 17:30. -
