Paranoia could ruin my exam, help?
Basically, I have an exam on Monday which is in the afternoon. But I have two morning exams after which I'm petrified I'm going to sleep through, because no matter how hard I've tried during exam leave I haven't been able to get up before like 9-10am. My parents say they'll get me up, but they've been "getting me up" at like 9am all week, which is obviously too late for an exam which starts around 8:45.
I can understand that I have paranoia issues, and that normal people don't let this kinda stuff get to them. But can anyone offer any advice on how to make this paranoia go away? I really can't afford to fail my first exam, it's the most important one...
I've been setting around 3-4 alarms every day, which all go off at different times. But I still just go back to sleep. My parents say "they'll get me up" but I'm incredibly skeptical due to their own sleeping habits, and I'm getting a friend to ring me the morning of my exams, but I'm worried I'll just fall asleep after. -
Re: Paranoia could ruin my exam, help?
Trust me, if you're worried about not getting up, you won't go back to sleep. When your alarm goes off, get up straight away, don't even wait for the second one. Put your alarm on the other side of the room and DON'T get back into bed.
Lots of time to be sleeping in when the exams are over and done with, so just make the effort to get up on one occasion. It is just about self control. If you are physically unable to get up then you should see a doctor; but there's nothing like waking up and remembering you have an exam to wake you up properly! -

Re: Paranoia could ruin my exam, help?Except the two weeks before my first morning exam. A sleeping pattern can easily be ruined in two weeks...(Original post by hvh)
You've been getting up and going to school every day for 9am since you were 4 years old.
