AS Level Resit application for Medicine
Hi,
I want to do medicine at university and i have just completed my AS levels, I do Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
This is my second year at college as i resat the year due to getting terrible results last year I got 2 Es in biology and chemistry which obviously was not even worth applying to university as they wouldnt even consider those grades.
So i decided to resit the whole year and so far I have achieved BCC.. which I plan to change to 3AAAs during A2 if my Unit 2 exams dont improve the grades.
What i was wondering is do universities look down upon students who resit a whole year of AS. Which means 2 years of doing AS as it was restarted the year after, but without resitting A2..
And also means 3 years at College, I'm asking because I was told they dont consider retakes who have retook the whole A level meaning 4 years of study whereas i have only retaken 1 year of AS only..
sorry if this is long lol. -
I have read that most universities say you need to have completed your a-levels within 2 years so they don't actually accept you if you have resat the year :-( however you should have a look around, some universities may be more lenient about it?
