    Re: Asus Padfone
The keyboard for Padfone costs ~170$
And for Transformer Prime it's 130-140$

It's simply too much. There is no advanced technology in these accessories.
Kindle Fire costs 200$,and that's the whole tablet. Incomparable.
Only keyboard for Padfone costs only 30$ less than Kindle Fire.

    I don't get it why:

Padfone is not available in the world.
They are pricing it so damn high.

    HTC One X is cheaper.
    It's under 600$
    Padfone is 700$

I want to say that this whole combo is overpriced in each segment.

    Padfone-700$
    With Tablet=950$
    With keyboard=1100$

I don't know is it because Asus isn't pricing it right or because they simply aren't seriously distributing this product.

    @ctys2ard

You bought it for a good price 900 and something $.
I'm not sure if I would pay that much, but it's certainly better than price you can get outside Taiwan.

Indeed. For a brand new product that haven't hit most stores, i think the price i paid is quite reasonable. Plus d fact that they gave me a free micro sd and an extra original battery. Not forgetting my price is the full set including the original leather cover (which cost over 40quid). Most current sellers don't include the cover.

Also the Taiwan version came with 32gb cloud storage for 3 years. Plus it comes with Garmin street pilot.

With all this, i really don't think 625 quid is overpriced.

Re overprice or not, it's hard to say. The price i paid was price qoted by asus, which i think is totally reasonable. Samsung galaxy s3 cost over 500gbp brand new. Paying extra of about 100gbp i get all these extras.

The prices that you see.at the moment are all 3rd party prices. They mark it up for more profit. Unless there is a price by official telco carriers, it's not asus's fault. They recommended it to be sold at my price. Ie. 625gbp

Probably the problem is here because they still haven't started to distribute it. I wonder why?

I use Kingsoft Office at the moment. It's much better than Thinkfree I got with my Galaxy S.
However,I only have a smartphone, not a tablet so needs are not the same. This satisfies me for now since it is very compact at easy to work with on a 4" screen.

And you get all options for free.
I think it's the best free office for Android.
    Give it a try.

    P.S.

Do you have keyboard dock for Padfone?

Most of my friends with Androids use the Kingsoft app as well Surprising that not too many people have heard of it seeing as its free etc
