    Open Day - 13th June - Travel
    Hey guys,

Me and a few friends are going to the open day this Wednesday coming. Thing is, we're locomotively challenged. So, please could someone tell me how I could get to the uni from Liverpool Street?

Liverpool Street to waterloo then to egham or waterloo > feltham > egham

I was just going to ask this question. Will £20 sort me out for travel there and back?

If you live nearby, it'll pay for the train easily.

Just spare a thought for our party in Suffolk, we're leaving at half five and paying fifty quid each. >.>

Woaah :O haha that's dedication right there. And yeah, I'll bring a little more just in case. I live in London so not that far away but the Uni itself is in a place I've never heard of.

It's good that you guys aren't driving...I'm a Student Ambassador and today we had our briefing for the Open Day tomorrow. Parking on site will be a challenge, to say the least.

Oh, and I know this isn't a question that's been asked in this thread, but just to let you prospective applicants know- when you arrive at Egham train station, there will be a couple of Ambassadors there ready to point you in the right direction of campus.

Thanks, I'll look out for you

Also quoting people does help a lot, otherwise there was a chance I wouldn't have been able to see this

    Edited:
Errm first off i'm pretty sure when llacerta said "you guys" (not driving) she meant OP and his group of the locomotively challenged - so no need to quote you.

And even if she (had) meant you your post seemed a very tiny little bit rude in that she helped then you criticised her for not quoting

You live in london, its not that far past heathrow, and probably only one train to get there once on national rail.

It takes me 3 trains and a walk between 2 unconnected stations to get there and doesn't cost 20 for a return.
Also a return ticket to london (from my hometown) with an all zone day's travelcard thingy doesn't cost 20 - I live another 13 plus miles further from london than egham.

That'll be awesome! We thought that we'd end up walking aimlessly until we bumped into Hogwarts Holloway.

You would of (and clearly did) see her post without her quoting you if you did what the rest of us do and just checked the thread.
Woah, woah, thanks for the information but seriously mate, look what I wrote. How you can construe that as "rude" baffles me. I was just pointing out the importance of quoting itself on a forum like this, pretty much every person does it.

Of course I did see it but that's only because I bothered looking here again, what about the people who wouldn't have bothered to check. It isn't there fault, it's expected that they get a quote back. If anything, what I wrote should be seen as helpful 'cos I'm giving her some important piece of advice which would then help her help other people more effectively.

It's possible she meant to refer to OP but when you don't quote mistakes like that can be made.
