    Meeting my offer
I firmed Hertfordshire and have an offer of 300 UCAS points for Economics. I'm expecting to have 300 points come August but there is a chance I may end up with 280 or even 260 depending on my exams. Does anyone know what the chances are of keeping my place if my grades were below the offer?

I can't give you a straight answer as it actually depends on several factors; how many applicants there are this year, how many people met their offer etc.

I'd say if you stayed around 280 you'd be fine, not too sure about 260. Some years they are stricter than others. In my first year they were very lenient then in my second year they became really strict and since then they have sort of been strict with some and lenient with others.

    Just to add,

Is there anywhere that I can see the Hertfordshire application data/submission for 2012 for Law by any chance?
Or is that data still private and not available to the public?

    Thanks!

As far as I am aware non of this information is public. There is data available on the total number of applicants but not course specific.

If anyone knows about a place where this is published I'd be interested to see this as well but in my 3 years here I have never heard of it being published anywhere.

Thanks! I've read different stories about it. Some say they were rejected and others have said that they were given a place despite being 40 points short.

Yeah, these decisions are made on a individual basis. In such cases your personal statement can be a make or break kind of thing!
