Both. They are completelty different games and you cannot compare the two.

I understand that, but personally which would you recommend I get first? I can't afford two games at the moment!

Thanks! I'll get Pokemon and buy Zelda soon then!

I still need to complete Skyward Sword, oh man that game is incredible.

Have you played OoT before? If not, get that because it's amazing.. Otherwise just bust out some Pokemon, it has more hours in it.

I have not, I have only played Windwaker, Skyward Sword and Majora's Mask. Excellent games.

If Pokemon has more hours then I'll go for that and get Zelda when I get paid next.

    Thanks

No. Buy OoT. It is one of the best games ever made and will last you quite a while if you haven't played it before.

I'll trust your judgement then, Zelda it is. How long do you think the story is? The other Zelda games are pretty lengthy and they have amazing characters.

Ocarina without a doubt. Pokemon Black's not even a 3ds game I swear? Anyway, if you like zelda, then you will love ocarina; there's good reason as to why it's often dubbed the best game of all time! (Apart from the friggin' water temple that is...) You may as well just wait for the release of pokemon black 2 this Autumn and get Ocarina now.

Yeah, it's not a 3DS game; there aren't that many great quality 3DS games out at the moment. I shall get Zelda

It should last quite a while. I would say it's longer than Wind Waker unless you count all the time in the boat. Easily one of the best, much better than TP too.

To be honest I was slightly disappointed with Pokemon Black/White.

Would you mind explaining why? If it's not that great I'll wait for the next one, or buy an older Pokemon game.

Yep, I'd go with Zelda. Especially since you've not played it before. I got it even though I've already played it and really enjoyed it.
And I'd say it's about as long as most other zelda games that I've played.

Have you played OOT on the 3DS though? or the N64?

idiot! bloody idiot! save up for a psp vita. I bought the 3ds and I am severely dissapointed. You are essentially buying a console for 1 good game, and that is OoT.

Please read my thread here before you purchase:

EDIT: psp vita beats 3ds with respect to absolutely everything. Everything. Let me repeat one more time, everything.

I don't know, it just didn't feel as good as Diamond/Pearl. Of course the best Pokemon games were for the Gameboy though. And if I were you I'd just pick up a DS lite for £50 (used) which is what I did, as I think the 3DS is probably a waste of money.

I have always preferred Nintendo to the other companies, I do not care about graphics, as long as there is a solid story with memorable characters.

I already have a Playstation 3 and I rarely play it, so I don't want any more Sony consoles.

    N64, of course.

I think there is more to do in the 3DS version (don't quote me on that), but the Water Temple has been changed to make it easier. F that. The Water Temple was so hard and make the game more of a masterpiece.
