I think PCworld / Comet will do a finance option and I'm sure other places can as well.

For reference, I really wouldn't recommend BrightHouse; apparently their interest rates are diabolical.

Or you could do the radical thing that people used to do and save up first.

    PC World/Currys

And if you get on with the salesperson, you may even get yourself a discount on its insurance and delivery

Currys are good because if you pay it all off within 6 months, you are charged no interest

Don't understand why this post has been negged, I was always taught to save if I didn't have enough. Maybe it's an old fashioned way of thinking...

The fact that people have negged this sums up why the UK economy is in the ****. Sheep obsessed with material goods, consumerism and spending money they don't have bankrupting the country in the process.

my advice is don't spend money you don't have on trivial things like this... education yes, house yes, tv no

My personal policy is that if I don't want to pay upfront, then I can't afford it. The only exception to that was in Year 12 I went on a school trip to America for which my parents wanted me to contribute £500, which I did over a couple of months and they subbed me for that, but I'd only just started part time work. Now I try to have at least a couple hundred quid I can get to at any time (just bought myself a new violin which means I'm low on funds, but I obviously won't spend much til I'm back in the black)

Bright House - if you ever watch Home & Away on Channel Five or 5* they sponsor the show. Bright House is a well known department store that sells anything you can think of, and I've heard the instalments are rather friendly.

Take out a 12 month (or more) interest free credit card, and just make sure you pay it off before the interest free period runs out? Better than taking out an Argos store card which will probably charge high interest rates.

I thought this thread was dead, Well I do have enough money to buy the tv right now but then i rather buy it on installments because it will turn out more practical. Also i can't get a credit card. I don't wont to remove a chunk at once, if i get pay lets say around 50-60 a month for 5-6 months, it would be perfect.

@Bellisima - I need a tv and a playstation right now as a super bored, Doing a summer semester and so boring, i need keep myself entertained.

Buying stuff on credit can be a good idea, especially if you need to make a lot of capital expenditures at the same time. The trick is to work it into a sensible and realistic monthly budget, and ensure that you are happy with the total amount you're going to pay, not just the individual monthly amounts.
