If the question does tell you to estimate the minimum point then the most important thing is that you draw a smooth parabola. On your graph, the line between x=1 and x=2 is too flat.

Every quadratic graph has only one minimum/maximum. The minimum on your graph is the point where the curve is at it's lowest point.

If you drew your graph correctly then you should be able to see that this lowest point is around y=1.25 so that would be your estimate.


that makes it really simple, I was just over complicating things when I just had to read the lowest value, thanks!

to OP: look at your graph. it`s a tiny bit "off" at the bottom. if you are truly supposed to estimate by graph, then if you`d drawn it a tiny but better you would`ve been right there!
