pH of complex ions
Hey guys, stuck on q.17(b)(ii) on this paper:
http://www.edexcel.com/migrationdocu...e_20110131.pdf
Only difference between the 2 I note is their charges, but how does this affect pH? Can't seem to understand this...any ideas?
Cheers!

Re: pH of complex ionsCr3+ has the greater charge density of the 2, though how does Charge density affect pH?(Original post by EierVonSatan)
The acidity of some complexes is caused by the high charge density of the metal ion. So compare the charge density of Cr3+ with Cu2+

Re: pH of complex ionsAh, well that's why you're struggeling(Original post by Next Level)

You need to look up 'acidity of aqua-complexes' this will do:
