Food that tastes better than it looks
We've all been there. We're faced with a plate of food that looks like alien sick or something scavenged from the back of god knows where. But for whatever reason, we've tried it. And sometimes, you get a nice surprise.
I mixed avocado with dorito salsa and it's made a rather nice guacamole-like sauce. It sounded like a nice idea, but it does look like sick. BUT it is rather nommy.
So what have you tried that tastes a lot better than it looks?
Pics welcome . . . maybe . . .

Stir fries. Curries. The latter resembles something that comes out of you rather than going into your mouth.

I once ordered some octopus on holiday, thinking it was going to come yknow, looking like any other meat, cut up and stuff. It came as a couple of FULL tentacles, complete with sucker pad things attached
Thought it was hilarious but it tasted amazing actually!!! I'll post the picture if I can find it sometime.

Re: Food that tastes better than it looksI had octopus last time I was in Greece, I had to ask whether you eat it whole or you take the suckers off(Original post by TheRandomer)

Still, it was rather nice
Similarly, a squid looks disgusting but Calamari is among my favourite foods. -

Something that my Mum came up with that she gave the name Creamy Muck Muck (which if anyone remembers Dick and Dom in da Bungalow it might give an idea to its looks). It looks a bit like brown diarrhoea. It is a cook in sauce (e.g. Cottage pie cook in sauce out of a jar), frozen mash potatoes, frozen peas and sweeetcorn and then some stewing steak. It is all put into the slow cooker and it kind of disintegrates into one sloppery substance. But it is so nice, especially on a cold day
