    What would happen if you draw a picture/write a joke at the end of the exam paper?
    You hear stories from time to time of those rebels who draw a silly picture at the end of an exam paper like "Geoff the giraffe here would appreciate an A please". What is the examiner likely to do, just roll their eyes and carry on marking? Or is the examiner likely to actually give you fewer marks because it was inappropriate? Just wondering.

    I wrote all over the optional question that I didn't do 'I <3 so and so' when I had ten minutes left at the end of my GCSE I.C.T exam. Didn't do me any harm as I got an A

    I've had 2 tutors who were examination officers (marked the papers) for Maths and English - they get it ALL the time! They laugh, but sadly have to ignore it. :P

    I drew a Pyramid with a Volcano coming out of the Pyramid. With Stick men fighting to get to the top of the Pyramid like they do . Also there were some other stick men on top of the pyramid making it hard for them to get on top. I only used the colours blue and black due to the individulators not having any other colours .
    I also wrote a sad but true story about how i had to teach my self this subject.
    It is to be noted this was an AS Statistics (S1) exam and i was only in year 11. Also i had a really bad teacher and who took 6months of due to a bad back and i couldn't be asked.
    I leaned to the left to show it to my m8 who was sitting behind me and he awarded me 1000 man points after the exam.
    I wish i'd asked for the paper back so i could frame my piece of art.
    I came out with a Mid C in this paper .

    People who write stuff like that in their exams are just plain... douchebags. Most examiners should not care because they have tons of other papers to get through, but really, anyone who wrote "Geoff the giraffe would like an A please" would make me turn back a few pages, be extremely merciless with my marking, and then hope that this effing douchebag would sob like a right **** on results day because he missed it by a few UMS. I'd sleep better at night over it, too.

    Dude, I never participate, so, whenever I do the stuff like that she gives me full marks and an A! Because, if I was participating and I did that I would have got an F, but I was trying to show emphasis across my work and she knew that. I'll show you an example

    I write things. I never draw things in real exams, but I always write little comments. I get really scared after the exam though, but it never affects the actually mark :mwuaha:

    I spent the last half hour of an exam drawing little spirals and hearts on my answer book because I was feeling so smug because I'd finished with time to spare. Thought I'd rocked it. Turns out I'd missed a page of questions. The urge to finish my artist outburst with a hangman was huge.

    Why? What harm does it do? It's just funny!

    Also, I think you've misinterpreted "Geoff the giraffe" as;
    "I'm really arrogant, and I think I can get away with just asking you for an A".
    It's more like;
    "I've tried really hard at this, but I can't do it. I'm going to draw a cute little picture of a giraffe, because it makes me feel better, and maybe the examiner will like it. I know my marks won't go up because of it, but maybe it will make the world a better place, and break out of the tedious bureacracy of the exams that govern our lives, if just for a moment."

    Yep it was at a proper exam. The exam hall was full so it was easy to do this

    Don't do it.

    Some exam boards have been known to have people shot in their sleep.

    I heard that it has to be investigated, in case it really is part of someones answer.
