Not sure which course to take at uni
Hi I'm currently taking maths, eng lit, biology and psychology at A-level and have absolutely no idea what course to take at uni. Seeing as applications need to be made soon I think I need to make my mind up but need a little help. I know I'm definitely taking Maths on to A2 and the other 3 depend on my grades which I receive in August.
I was thinking maybe a psychology degree because i really enjoy it but I see too many people going into it so less jobs once uni finishes? Then I was thinking maybe maths, which I do enjoy and actually hope that it doesn't drive me mad. And out of interest how different is a maths degree than maths alevel.
Thanks in advance and sorry for overloading info

Re: Not sure which course to take at uni
One option would be to go for a 4-year Scottish degree. They can offer a great amount of flexibility and you can try a lot before making up your mind.
Alternatively, think about where you want to be in life as in a career. You could also choose a degree which can allow you the option of crossing over to something else at the master's level. -
Re: Not sure which course to take at uniThis. Do something you enjoy, but that is on the higher end of employable as well. Psychology would be really interesting to do at university, but I know a lot of people who are still unemployed 6 months down the line and have abandoned the initial plan of going into post-grad to become a Clinical Psychologist after actually going to uni for a bit.(Original post by Jodie_668)
If you enjoy maths, then I would definitely look into it further, it is a very well respected degree with many job opportunities. Also you may want to look into economics which is largely based on maths and if another great degree to have under your belt!
