What grades/UMS do I need in my A2 exams to meet my offer?
    Hi

Just wondering if someone a bit more in the know than me could tell what the minimum grade/UMS I need in my A2 exams to meet my Leeds offer of ABB. I dropped History after AS, so I think I only carry 60 UMS from that?

    AS Results:
    History - 83 (A) and 97 (A)
    Philosophy - 92 (A) and 87 (A)
    Politics - 81 (A) and 84 (A)
    RS - 90 (A) and 90 (A)

I sat a politics A2 module in January and got 62 (C), but I did a retake of that today, and it went a lot better

Are the Philosophy, Politics and RS As from A2 predictions?

For the subjects which you carry forward to A2, you do not keep those points (cashing in). Rather, you get the points from your A2 subject at the end of your course.

    Example:
If at AS you achieved an A in Subject1, this is equal to 60 points. You decide to carry this subject on and go on to achieve an A over all at A2. Because you carried Subject1 on, you only keep the points achieved from the entire A-Level which would be 120.

I've tried to put it as simple as possible but this should help:

To get an A in Philosophy you'll need 141 UMS next year overall (roughly 70 in each exam).
To get an A in RS you'll need 140 UMS next year overall (roughly 70 in each exam).
To get a A in Politics you'll need 165 next year overall (roughly 83 in each exam).

I don't think you have much to worry about, your AS scores were good enough to ease the pressure a little for A2
