Hertfordshire Creative Arts Students (Music Media Film Animation Graphics Art's....)Welcome to the creative arts thread, this is a place for anyone who is doing a crative arts course in hertfordshire. the main aim of this thread is to set up a place were like minded people can gather and talk, find about about courses, and possibly find new friends before the start of the year.

Re: Hertfordshire Creative Arts Students (Music Media Film Animation Graphics Art's..I am going to be doing a sound design technology course in september and i am curious as to how big my class will be also as to what type of people will be studying with me.
I will also be looking for anyother creative people to work on a colaberation project, like an interactive art studio, a full exerpiance, activate all 5 sense's. so would like to see some positive response's and volunteers in this thread

I apologize for not keeping up to date, i have been abit rushed with sorting everything out (im sure you will all understand)
Its offical i will be attending Uni, on the Sound Design Technology course I got my grades
I have also just returned from a festival in portagul. It was called BOOM festival and it was a celebration of Arts & Culture. The festival has really inspired me into working within the arts community.
I have had my accomodation sorted out and i will be staying in the de Havilland area of the uni.
As i mentioned in an early post, my main goal is to try and create a emersive space, wich combines all sorts of sensory stimulus. i would like it to have some sort of interaction in it aswell. I know that i will be looking into how sound has an affect on the body and emotions (consicous and un-consicous)
So if people have any ideas for any projects big or small, or areas to further study into then please post your ideas.
The more ideas and thoughts that are posted the more we can try and make them a reality. Brainstorming is a fantastic method of finding new ideas to try.
Im gald to see people taking an intrest in this project and i have some real good feelings about what could come out of this so please share your ideas and inspiriatons

Re: Hertfordshire Creative Arts Students (Music Media Film Animation Graphics Art's..Hey guys! I was actually going to make a thread for the Creative Arts students (and might still do so in a couple of weeks) because we've got some great things happening this year.
Essentially this year we'll be launching the Artz Exchange - an event that allows students to display their work in a friendly environment, and network with other students from other courses. We really want to push collaboration between the courses this year.
There will also be an opportunity to obtain work experience from the School - especially relevant to any Graphic Design students but everyone can contribute. The School will ensure you get any references you need, etc.
I'll post with more details in the coming weeks, but if anyone has any questions (can be about anything!) in the meantime either reply here or pop me a message. -

The University recently abolished the 'Faculties' (Faculty of Creative Arts & Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, etcetc) and now the University is just broken up into Schools - ours being School of Creative Arts. It's nothing more than a formality, just a way of addressing Creative Arts as a whole!(Original post by AlexanderG)

In terms of Artz Exchange, displaying work, and networking, absolutely. We still have to work out the logistics of the work experience but this project is entirely student run, supported completely by the School, so if you have any suggestions at all, we're happy to hear them! -
