Fast-Track English Lit A-Level?!
I just finished my AS levels and I'll get my results in August. I'm predicted all A's.
However, I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma! My school specialises in science and when choosing my A-Levels I felt extremely pressured into taking science subjects. I ended up choosing Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I have done alright in my subjects (fingers crossed!) but haven't really enjoyed them.
I have always liked English, reading and writing being two of my favourite past times, and I'm seriously regretting not taking English Lit as an A-Level. I have recently been looking into doing a fast-track course with Oxford College.
Basically, I'm asking three questions:
1. Does anyone think it's realistic to achieve an A/B grade on a fast-track English Lit A-Level course (doing AS and A2 in the same year!)
2. Will universities look at this in a way that could harm my chances in the application process?
3. Does anybody have any better ideas?! I would love to English at university, or something humanities based. I have considered linguistics because unis usually don't ask for specific subjects.
I know this is a bit waffle-y, but thanks if you've actually read it!
I need your advice!

Re: Fast-Track English Lit A-Level?!I think it's a brilliant idea - and you can definitely get an A, provided you put the work in and, since you enjoy the subject, you're likely to do so!(Original post by LLUCIEEE)

Universities won't look down on this at all, if anything they'll be impressed, I would think.
