Some one please help me out with my Xbox360 HDD

Some one please help me out with my Xbox360 HDDSo i finally decided to get a 250g hdd after realising BF3 would consume alot more that expected. i connected the new hdd to the xbox 360 through the transfer cable . when i chose the tranfer option it prompt me that i hard to configure the device, so i did and that when the troubles began.
it finished with a message saying that the storage device has low perfomance and its capacity spontaneously dropped from 250g or so to 16g how comes? And now it wont appear when i plug it the the xbox360, only through the transfer would i only be able to see it. please help!! -

Re: Some one please help me out with my Xbox360 HDDWhat do you mean to xbox standards? i followed the instructions to configure it as it was displayed. to my knowledge configuring was to install it but seemed to do the opposite.(Original post by Iqbal007)
Did you format the hdd to XBOX requirements? then install it -
