Re: LCCHi(Original post by ht93)
Anyone studying at LCC in september? Im hoping to be studying Journalism, anyone else? I have been offered halls at Opal 4, drop me a line if we have anything that matches haha
Would be nice to meet some fellow LCC'ers or Opal4 lodgers before heading out into the big wide city!
It's likely I'll be going there, they gave me a pretty much unconditional offer (meaning I'll definitely meet the conditions
). Going for Film and TV Production but I'm worried I might have applied to late for halls.
Where's Opal 4? I didn't see it on the list when I applied.

Jeez. And I thought Will Wyatt was too far away. You're going to go all the way from there to Elephant and Castle every day? -
Re: LCCNot sure i have a choice! As i didnt even apply to it in the first place! Although on the northern line it only take around 20-30 minutes so its not too bad!(Original post by Mati1)
Oh Tufnell Park! Found it.

Re: LCC
Although saying that its a pretty decent Hall, as there is no deposit (apparently you just pay your first two weeks upfront), there is free internet, and free contents insurance. UAL students get discounted rates too, oh and the nightlife is pretty decent i think as its two stops from camden but hey guess i will find out when i get there!

Re: LCCSo lucky, i live just outside london so could stay at home but dont want to miss out on the uni experience if you know what i mean, I dont know whether to stay at home and spend £5000 on travel or move out and spend £8000 on accommodation, i guess money wise its pretty clear but i dont know.(Original post by Sayeed)

Guess it depends on if the Uni experience is worth the extra £3000 which it is in my opinion, but then again I'll throw money at anything xD -
Re: LCCSo you applied a couple of months ago and you didn't get in any of your choices?(Original post by ht93)
I only applied a couple of months back as i was waiting to hear back from another uni in order to confirm UAL as my firm choice. So i wasn't pinning much hope on getting a hall i wanted. Might start looking for a flat, not sure what to do haha!
Right. I'm starting to panic slightly.
Although may have been because you live near London and they give priority to people from further away.
Hopefully Sheffield is far enough.

Re: LCCWell on their website they said a reasonable distance to travel is 30-40 minutes and im another hour on top of that, i think alot of people applied pretty early on im sure you will get something though! Although i would apply like now, as the contract they have sent is due back by the 26th of June.nIm not sure im going to take it up though im looking into private flat/house share in oval/kennington area, alot cheaper and less of a trek to travel! haha(Original post by Mati1)

Re: LCCSounds good. I'll be looking to sort out some kind of flatshare for the second year of the course.(Original post by ht93)

First year though, i think I'd rather stay in halls if I can, as I don't know London too well and it's quite, well... scary.
