Multi-personalilities
I have this friend who is doing her first case as an aspiring pshychiatrist...and it's on our good friend. She's protective about her problem and in denial. Waht's worse is that she swore us to secrecy, which we know we must break to help her out. Not to mention her parents won't believe us without hard-core evidence so we need help.
She changes her name and personality when she wants. She's literally in this separate world than us that one of her personalities control. She'll read or watch something and if she likes it, add it to her collection of personalaties. She's ino vampires, darkness, and older-stuff (we're teens) and atheism. Now I know that's normal stuff, but it doesn't make sense on why she's a rebel. Her parents are super nice, religious, and really outgoing.
Also, she sees what we don't. She sees a communticator between them and some of the people.
Can someone please help us get evidence for whatever she has so she can get help? And if you need anything, just ask away.

Re: Multi-personalilities'True' multiple personality disorder or dissociate identity disorder isn't consciously collecting personalities. Honestly, in my very unprofessional opinion she's just being a teenager experimenting with different trends and trying to rebel against her parents. I don't think she needs help. Nothing you've written about her suggests that a) she has a psychological issue or b) her behaviour is damaging to her health and thus requires help.
I am of course no doctor and I don't know this person. Only a professional can say if there something wrong. I would suggest thinking about whether her behaviour is damaging in anyway or if it distresses her before getting her to seek help. -

I am no fool, I am her friend, her sister. Thank you for your perspective and reply. I smile because we have finally had come to a conclusion and she will recieve help. Your reply helped some
However, if you find someone like that, don't assume they're okay. Everyone has a problem, at least one, even if minor like a bad hair day. Merci again.
