hahah mate I was the nearly the same, I went to the broomloan first as I heard the copland was full.... waited there for about 40 mins and got to the front and found out too! sprint to the club deck queue anaw! Once I was in the club deck queue every now and again another batch would sprint down to join the queue... still managed kickoff though... thank goodness they put the kickoff back haha
Yeah delayed kick off by 20 minutes, was rather lucky or i would have missed the majority of the first half lol!

Why was the kickoff delayed when there were only 38k fans there? Surely the old club was getting more than that for most league games? Ibrox is 50k is it not?

Yup. You are now a proud supporter of The Rangers FC (which must be an illegal name, so close to the dead company's), and the world is laughing at you because Robbie Savage wants to play for you.

Because they were only anticipating 38k fans as this is how many bought tickets, they weren't expecting much more to appear at the gates so parts of the stadium were not opened until later so there was massive queues, so they delayed kick off until everyone was in the stadium.

38k fans were the amount that bought tickets, there was another 10-11k fans that paid at the gate.

Cheating East Fife out of money as well.

I always want to know how decent normal people can support one of Celtic or Rangers though? I, every so often, look over at rangers media plus I read pie and bovril a fair amount and they really do attract disgusting horrible vindictive people. I know Aberdeen have their fair shares of morons but nothing like the vast quantity that swarm around the two glasgow clubs.

Also all this - we're are the people, more than a club *******s - how can normal rangers fans listen to this and still support them? Just horrible horrible fans club and general ethos around the whole club.

How exactly did they do this?

They have to share half of the home gate with East Fife. If the home crowd was 50k they would need to give East Fife 25k worth of tickets. But because the home support was "38k" they will only need to give East fife 19k worth of tickets.

Im pretty certain this would be sorted.

That won't happen. East Fife will get 25k worth of ticket gate receipts.

Well tbh all of us agree with these sayings. Its not something anyone outside of Rangers can comment on because you will never understand what it means to us. We feel that our club is not just a normal club... its a special club and is engraved in our hearts. I have spoken to fans of other teams and they are not the same... they don't really care what happens on the park.. if they win then they will be happy but a loss doesn't seem to annoy them. They go around as if its not that important.

For Rangers fans the club is everything... we don't care what other fans say because as I said... you will never understand. I feel sorry for people that don't "get that feeling" that I do when I step out into the stands at Ibrox. There are other clubs with fans as passionate as ours... I'm not saying there isn't... its just there is alot of clubs that don't have this ... how do I put it... presence surrounding it.

I could name a few others that do.... West ham, Celtic , Newcastle , Liverpool. and then others that don't.... Ac milan , inter , manchester united , middlesbrough , etc etc etc etc etc etc etc I could go on and on. Some clubs are just different and Rangers are one of them. We are the people...

It was a good result for The Rangers. First ever match in the league, and to travel the long way up to Peterhead and snatch a draw is to their credit.
