Re: Rangers FC to liquidate.I'm pretty sure they can't call themselves "The Rangers FC"(Original post by Mr Dangermouse)
From now on everyone should explicitly call them The Rangers FC.
If they can run away from their debts, taxes and responsibilities they can run away from their history

Re: Rangers FC to liquidate. You'll be able to explain how Celtic bring Sectarianism and racism into the game then?(Original post by Old Father Time)
No sympathy for Rangers to be honest. Hope Celtic go down the same path, and any other club for that matter that tries to bring sectarianism or racism into the game. -
Re: Rangers FC to liquidate.I know man, but they'll be forever spouting it no matter what as they don't really know anything about the Scottish game. Total lost cause!(Original post by Left Hand Drive)
Apologies, but there is nothing worse than been grouped in with those deid bastards :P
Rangers are no longer alive, so we can't be tarred with the same brush any more

I.R.A/"Huns" ect. Both are as bad as each other. They used to not want to sign players that weren't Catholic too. That has no place in football in my opinion. -

Re: Rangers FC to liquidate. That is untrue. Celtic voted at their AGM in 1889 on whether to follow Hibernians' signing policy (Catholics only). The proposition was rejected.(Original post by Old Father Time)

As for supporting the IRA- everyone's default position is opposition, but I've found few people actually know what they're talking about. -
Re: Rangers FC to liquidate.Well seeing as you're a Celtic fan, I'll have to take your word for it, but it doesn't change the fact that both clubs spout sectarianism bile that shouldn't be in the game. Also, If you're referring to the I.R.A, then the debate is indefensible. Neither side should be supported. It was wrong for British troops to enter Ireland, and it was wrong for the I.R.A to bomb and kill innocent people who had nothing to do with the conflict. The motive of the I.R.A. is good but the way they go about it is so so very wrong and that is why they don't have nearly as much support. This is coming from an Catholic with an Irish family and ancestors.(Original post by Celtic_Anthony)

I don't agree with your second point either, but it's a tiresome debate.
Surely if neither position is defensible, and both positions oppose each other, there is equal merit in each one. (I, broadly speaking, agree with you.) -
Re: Rangers FC to liquidate.I think the reason why both sides are indefensible is that there is no merit in either one. The situation is tricky because the British army was needed to stop the harassment of the Catholic communities in Ireland, however it only seemed to make matters worse and then the I.R.A came along and started bombing innocent people which is also wrong. Its an age old problem which still has not been solved in my opinion.(Original post by Celtic_Anthony)

Re: Rangers FC to liquidate.
Dundee United will be voting no too.
That's us at 3 no's so far. Dundee United, Hibs and Hearts. Celtic have (rightfully) stayed quiet on this. Motherwell are letting fans decide. If Milne doesn't vote against them, he's going to have to leave Aberdeen and sell up, he'll be chased out.
All looking good so far.
