    Can I work in the IT industries with a degree in mathematics?
    Maybe with a minor in computer science?

    Yes you can, infact a maths degree is very useful if you wanted to work in the IT industry. They pretty much accept graduates from technical backgrounds.

    IBM and several other large IT companies happily accept graduates from any degree background.

    I got an offer from IBM with a degree in Business and Management.

    It is not a case of you "can", Mathematics is one of the preferred subjects of technology companies, often on a par with Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering.

    yes, maths grads are highly valued in IT.

    Thanks guys. Well I got offered for Bachelor of Science and intending to study Mathematics(which is my interest). So probably I will be taking a minor/ 2nd major(if I am able to handle the workload) in Computer Science. I also plan to get a master degree in related fields.

    Maths is highly valued in some parts of IT. Mostly to do with algorithmic approaches or etc... Just keep a look out.

    If you have studied disc. maths, graph theory, complexity, algorithms the congrats! YES you can work as an IT professional, all you need is to learn OOP

    Thanks guys for your advices. I will figure out when I start my university education. I plan to take courses relating to computer science in first semester and I am now learning Python by myself. I also plan to postgraduate in related field.
