What's going on at Beach Break live? - TSR festival blog
    Hey festival dudes,

A number of us are off to Beach Break live in a couple of days and I wanted to set up a thread for those with smart phones to comment and take pics of the festival. I will of course be doing the same and it'd be wicked to share what you're up to and excited about.

If anyone else is at festival feel free to post up in here what you're up to, as well as any pics you've had over the 4 days.

Don't forget your onsies by the way guys, for this reason alone.

Sweet, hopefully see you on the beach!

P.S. TSR is sponsoring the info tent - look out for it and take as many snaps as you can. :gthumb:

    Cheers CS

K is going down there tomorrow, so should have a few early ones of a quiet looking setting, before the hordes turn up.

I'll be there from Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to it

Just a quick update, still plenty of sunshine here at the moment. Just stopped at a service station across the Severn bridge so about an hour from beach break, will upload some pics when I get there

First and foremost, thanks again TSR for the tickets. We got them eventually Chris, although it did involve walking about a mile in a dozen different directions =P

Great first day yesterday! After finally getting our wristbands we made our way through to the closest camping site to the main arena and set up our tent. It was at this point I went to post a photo of our triumphant first attempt and post to TSR, when I discovered that Welsh countryside doesn't have great 3G coverage :erm: so my blog posts are going to be coming from the Dell internet cafe-esque tent. After getting all settled in we went down to check out the arena (Still all closed up at this point, but still cool to look around) before getting some food and starting to drink. A few hours and a lot of beer later we head down to the arena to see what was going on, and we eventually settled at the Big Top to listen to some great DJs. After a few hours we head over to the next tent along and spent the rest of the night drunkenly jiving to a couple of awesome ska bands, before finally crashing back at ourtent at 2am =P Looking forward to some great acts today, I'll post back later if I survive (I've already suffered a mild concussion at the hands of a ska mosh pit) :ahee: pictures will have to wait until I can plug my phone in on Monday night unfortunately.

I've also located the TSR tent, I'll be sure to drop by when I look marginally less of state ;D

Coverage is really appalling haha! I'll probably follow suit with the diary, will still try and post here over the course of the festival though (:

Today was awesome, if only because the weather took a turn for the better! Getting a brief period of what could be called "warmth" was great, hopefully the beach will be habitable tomorrow while my friends are off listening to some acts I really dislike =P in terms of today, I had a good laugh jiving to some jazz in the Southern Comfor bar, discovered a couple of very cool new bands on the main stage, and discovered the VIP area which is always a welcome bonus. I can wholeheartedly recommend the chorizo and pepper ciabattas found there guys  Looking forward to a night of epic proportions, starting with some drum and bass before moving over to the main stage for Chase and Status, then back to the dance tent for some dubstep and Nero in the early hours of the morning. I expect to be in a lot of pain come tomorrow if my previous experience of C&S is anything to go by, but it will be worth it!

Thanks for the updates Gofre . You must be getting better signal than me. Chase and status were awesome last night, they really brought the crowds out and Nero packed out the big top to finish the night in style. Looks like it will take alot more than some rain to quiet the party this weekend. Hopefully bump in to you at the info tent later today, if your heads not too sore?!

Haha I'm actually using the Dell tent's computers, it's completely free if you ever need to access the internet which really surprised me, I thought access to Facebook would be an extremely profitable commodity!

Last night was a game of too halves for me. On the one hand, the music was awesome- Jakwob put on a great set in the dance tent for about an hour and a half before heading over to Chase and Status, which was incredible and brutal in equal measure! On the other hand, in the insanity of Chase I managed to get headbutt hard in the back of the head again. While I had alcohol to cushion the blow on the first night, this time I just felt dizzy and sick, so begrudgingly head back for the night without getting to see Nero :erm:

Today has been pretty great though, spent the morning waiting out the rain in the Leeky Sheep listening to a couple of artists I had never heard of, before heading out and finding Scroobius Pip was on stage :woo: I forgot he was playing so that was a nice surprise. Looking forward to spending tonight listening to some of my favourite dubstep artists.

Yeah I'll be stopping by today, Chris owes me a beer so I'll be wanting to claim that :ahee:

I lost track of time yesterday, the tent was closed by the time I came round =P

Last night was awesome though, at least the bits I remember were! Was very disappointed that Rusko was cancelled, but Doorly, Benga and Skream more than made up for it. Labrinth on the main stage was a surprise highlight of the day, I didn't expect to enjoy him but he put on a great show. DJ Fresh Live was also amazing, if only to hear Louder so loudly :ahee:

We have sun today! So today's plan is to chill on the beach for most of the day and sober up (This post is coming to you from a very drunk Gofre =P) before swinging by the TSR tent then spending the night chilling to the indie bands on the main stage. Should be a good end to an awesome festival [=

I thought I'd post up here my experiences! First day was very wet and windy, was a struggle getting the tent up lol. We were very lucky though as the rain stayed away when all the good acts were on and on the last day it was very sunny (shame we were going home ). The TSR stuff at the info tent looked amazing and lots of funny/cool messages on the message board in there. Maverick Sabre and Labrinth were great and there was this incredible beatboxer who was immense (youtube heymoonshaker). Although have to say Dizzee Rascal and Chase & Status were the most awesome, they were absolutely insane!!! SO GOOD! One thing I noticed though was that I somehow seemed to attract mosh pits, I always seemed to be right at the front of one nearly getting elbowed in the face and/or pushed into it :ahee: Definitely not good when you're only 5ft

    Here's a few cool pics:

    The beach

Was a little chilly when we checked this out but I figured you can't be at Beach Break Live and not even see the beach!

Some particularly amusing messages on the message board includes: "My tent mate snores, I'm moving out!", " Shout out to the religious couple in the tent next to us. Less vocal worship at 4am please!" and "BBL makes me wet #slut"

I don't think I've ever been more glad to see my own bed than I was last night! I've battered, bruised and burned, but it was worth it =P thanks again for the tickets TSR! A bit gutted I never got to meet you guys, I think our paths were doomed never to cross CJ :ahee:

I've got a busy few days ahead, got a funeral tomorrow then a few reunion parties now that all my friends have finished their degrees so it's all a bit manic. I'll try and get a fully written diary up by Friday, otherwise it will be early next week at the absolute latest.
