Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012yeah hahaha we got told that aswell ! i immediately classed it as bull crap , and it will never go to 67 trust me.
Highest it will probably EVER go to is 64, but that rarely happens and especially wont happen in this paper due to the source on bolshevism !
A* will be 61/62 i think out of 75

Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012maybe bt considering i havent revised that much only the day before each exam, and found all of them pretty well within my abilites (apart english cos thats effort), hopefully it should challenge me(Original post by Dennerers)
You are in for a hard time dude...

Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012
Yeah, hopefully the thing with Bolshevikism will mean that the grade boundaries are lowered. Anyways, did anyone do 3c and 6c? I fear I may have buggered up on those ones - for 3c, I just rambled on that Hitler was very aigressive and what he actually did, and that Britain and France's appeasement meant the war was really bloody. But I don't really think I wrote enough. For 6c, I was a little confused by the question. I thought it was asking whether policies towards woman or policies towards workers were more important. So I said they were both good, and then said on the other hand, workers were more important. Did you have to talk about parts of the policies that reduced Nazi support?

Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012Oh, why? What did you do?(Original post by L_Vieru)
You're not as bad as me...
My stupidity probably dragged me down by 2 grades -
Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012I somehow didn't answer the 10 marker question in section A. That's basically 10 marks already lost. I'd have to get literally full marks out of what I did to get a good grade :/(Original post by AKKaur)
Oh, why? What did you do? -
Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012Its not all uncommon , my friend called Rob did that in the January 2012 paper , and answered the 6 marker as a 10 marker, then missed out the 10 marker completely(Original post by L_Vieru)

What grade did he get?
I bet he was gutted. I looked at the question and knew I could answer it. It was one of those question you like and can get full marks on :/ -
Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012I just checked and you're right, that's really unlucky because my CGP modern world history book listed it under the successes of the league(Original post by Fas)
think so, not sure. But Kellog-Briand Pact was organised by the USA, not the league of Nations, so you wont get marks for that. i talked about aaland islands, refugees , International Labour Organisation , diseases , Greece/Bulgaria crisis of 1925 hehe

Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012Yeah theres quite a few that think its a success of the league and CGP has proven to be one of the worst revision sources lol judging from this and previous exams(Original post by cube123)

Ouch :/

Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012which question was that, Q5 or Q6 ?(Original post by Revision-)
Will I be penalised for talking about something else for the last 10 marker when it said only refer to i) and ii) ??
I talked about German industrialists, as well as the fear of the SA and propaganda??
and yeah you will be penalised i suspect because it specifically instructed you to refer to those two only
although i could be wrong , and the examiner could just 'ignore' any extra points.

You are wrong. You won't be penalised. Its just guidance.(Original post by Fas)

Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012
Did anyone do the last 10 mark question on Germany? Because at the bottom it either said "talk about i) or ii)" or did it say "talk about i) and ii)" because after the exam I was sure it war 'or' and my friend was sure it was 'and' so one of us done it wrong...
Does anyone know?? -
Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012The Saar was a bit of land taken by the League and made a 'mandate' and then there was a plebiscite and it was given to Germany. At least that's what I wrote, i wasn't completely sure - i'd only read it in a revision book(Original post by yolosinceday)
did anyone do International relations (the first page) and then Russia (Stalin etc)
personally have never heard of 'Saar' which was the topic of one of the questions and neither have my classmates.
found the paper very hard - suggestions? -
Re: OCR History B (Modern World) GCSE - 12th June 2012it was and, you had to compare the two(Original post by harry20)
