Declaring both parents earnings to student finance england?
Do I have to do this, will they notice if I only put my dads earnings on the form??

My mum doesn't earn much and we aren't a well off family, but it seems as though with both parents earnings, I will have no money left after rent next year. Is it necessary for me to put both? Has anyone else tried only declaring one parents incomings? It would mean I have about £1000 more per year next year.

Thanks for any insights or experience in advance.

You have to declare household income so assuming your parents live together, yes, you declare them both. If you don't declare it and recieve too much money they WILL find out, and when they do they will expect the overpaid amount to be returned immediately, so don't try it.
