Minimum grade B at fourth AS for medical school?
I've been looking over entry requirements for medicine in the UK and a lot of universities state that a grade B should be achieved in the fourth AS subject. I won't have achieved this in my maths AS exams. Therefore I think I may be taking another AS subject next year, which out of Religious Studies or Pyschology would be easier, or have a more tolerable work load? Also out of interest, has anyone got into medical school with only AAA at A2 but a lower grade than B in the fourth AS subject? At a university that does or does not state having a B in the fourth AS as a requirement? Thank you.

Depends places like Imperial say AAAb but if you take 4 a levels then they will accept AAAC, I think UCL is something like AAAe. some just AAA others specify AAAb if i were you guys id ask the universities that you are interested in and see what they say. But you never know you might have that fourth b

UCL definitely say AAAe, as the above respondent stated.
Between psych/RS, it depends what you deem to be desirable. RS is entirely essay based exams with multiple scholars and theories to learn. If writing essays under pressure isn't your strength, you'd be better off with psych. Psychology however is A LOT of memory work, there are lots of case studies to be learnt by rote, but the exam is far more structured, with some SAQs and, depending on board, MCQs. -

I've done AQA RS this year and the main point to consider before taking it is that you have to write roughly 8 A4 pages (90 marks) in 75 minutes. The course itself isn't too taxing. Remembering quotes is key to the top grades but if you can write fast and are prepared for the exam, then going for a B in this subject is a solid choice.
