    Would he

    a) be proud of the nation he helped to create and the people in it

    b) off himself at the nearest available opportunity

    c) .....

    d) profit
    Quite clearly he'd off himself.

America was meant to be devoid of religious interference in the public domain, separation of church and state. That has quite obviously failed, with the country's motto on banknotes 'E pluribus unum' [Out of many, one] changed to 'In God we trust'.

Corporations being people, the 1% owning most stuff, clampdowns on freedom, the harsh reality of what's left of the American dream...really the list goes on.

Drones, torture camps, weapons of mass descrution, the fundamental destrution of the 4th amendment and widespread ignorance. Hmmm... I wonder...
Compared to slavery, total war with the British, agrarianism, no 14th, 15th or 19th amendments...

It wasn't really total war. The British started trading with them soon after George III went completely senile. George Washington owned slaves so yeah I suppose that would be an eye-opener for him, especially the whole black president thing.

If George Washington was here today, he'd probably first check out the burgers at McD's.

Indeed it wasn't. When the British were raiding through Virginia, their Generals expressly told them not to target Washington's land holdings and to leave them intact. The American Revolution could be pretty damn brutal out on the frontier but as far as the regular armies were concerned it was one of the last real gentleman's wars, at least between the officer corps.

Total War as a doctrine wasn't even really around then either, you could argue that it was Sherman in the American Civil War which really created it in a political form.
