Re: OCR Geography GCSE 14th June 2012
Stakeholder is somebody who has an interest in the scheme ... if you are doing the ageing population paper, there are three stakeholders ...
1- The building company director (her interests are making a profit if her company builds the new retirement complex) 2 - The Teaching Assistant (his interests are that a big investment in the town of Dunbar could force up the price of houses and he could have to wait longer to save up money before he can buy his first place. Also, a more elderly population in the town could lead to less children in his school and so his job could be under threat in the long term). 3 - Young Family (their interests are that the new retirement complex could provide jobs for the parents and they also have new facilities that they could use e.g. new gym, restaurant etc etc)
There is a load of stuff here to help you further with your revision. Good luck .....

Re: OCR Geography GCSE 14th June 2012(Original post by geographypods)
BTW, grade boundaries for last year for the OCR SDME were as follows:
A* 35-40
A 31-34
B 27-30
C 24-26
D 19-23
E 16-18
Do you think this is going to be a tough paper or an easy one then? i hope easy ( fingers crossed ) -
Re: OCR Geography GCSE 14th June 2012
I think it'll be fine ... if you know the booklet well and can link it to the themes of population and ageing populations in the UK. If the opportunity arises, try to get some map skills in too ..... referring to locations using their 4 figure grid references could be great and even specifics using 6 fig ......
