    losing travel insurance document
What can you do if you lose a travel insurance document?

Mum said that it used to be the case that you had to take out new insurance! But surely you're on their system so even if they charged you something, you could get another copy of it? It doesn't look like anything important/ that official and as if it could easily be forged, it was a single piece of paper.

Plus, it's in my name, so no one else can use it if they gave me another copy. I'm trying to find it (and my passport), but we've got a couple of weeks yet.

I have tried googling this, but all that comes up is about using your insurance to claim the money to refund lost belongings.

Yay, we found it Still gotta find my passport though :/

You should be able to re-print. Do you have an email from then which you might have received containing the relevant details. Otherwise I would give them a call, and they should be happy to help you!

Like I said, it wasn't me that organised it. My BFs mum gave me it a couple of months ago. I didn't realise how important it was (my parents have always organised this kinda thing for me, but they're not going) and kinda forgot about it. Then I was round theirs last night and she gave me these luggage tracker things to make sure your case doesn't get lost. She then told me to make sure my travel insurance was in ym hand luggage. I was like :eek3: cos I wasn't sure where it was!

Yay, I found my passport to It was ontop of a set of draws in my parents room. But it was under a pile of thier junk. It's been there before, but I had my passport in February/March time and now I'm responsible for it, rather than my mum/dad looking after it, I have no idea how it got back there! i don't even know where I got the idea to look there for! Why do things always turn up in the place you least expect to find them? We have a big blue tin/safe that we keep important documents like that in, if we CBA to put them in that, bits of paper go in our beareau. I looked in every section of the blue tin and took literally everything out of the beareau cos that's the most obviously place to look!
