Can you pay to re-sit A-levels outside of college?
I've almost finished my A-levels (I have two exams left). I've applied to uni but I've decided not to go so I can take a gap year to work and then I will re-apply next year. However, the course I want to do requires AAB and I'm worried I won't have a high enough grade in Maths because I think I did really badly in one of the modules. Is it possible for me to study on my own during my gap year and pay to re-sit this ONE exam?

The exam board is AQA but I heard that at the end of this year my results will be cashed in so if I wanted to re-sit I'd have to take the whole A-level again. Is this true?

If it is possible for me to re-sit this one exam, how do I do so?

If you talk to your school, they'll tell you about how much it would be to resit an exam. You can do it, and I think it costs around £40

you can resit the unit at as a private candidate, you can find centers on the AQA but best to resit the exam as a private candidate at your college- you just show up for the exam. it much cheaper have fun on the gap year
