So heres the issue.... what should i do?
    .

i have a maths teacher.. which is absolutely rubbish and has been so from the very beginning of AS.. She goes on and on about how shes learning the book with us.. and she really is.. she couldnt answer a question from the top of her head.. so how does she expect us to do so too.

but i want my mum to email or call the my firm and insurance unis to explain, because at the moment theres only 3 of us in the class.. from about 15 at the beginning of the year..
the 3 of us have practically taught ourselves

and i was wondering if should she call or email them to explain.. so that they could take it into consideration come results day

Ask your head of careers and get them to explain is what I'd be doing. I imagine it's more likely to be taken seriously then.

Talk to your school about it, if they back up what you say and write to your firm/insurance theyre more likely to take it into account than if your mum claims she's not a great teacher.

It's worth remembering that even if your school does back you up and sen off a letter, the university can choose to ignore it/not take it into account.

They might listen to your school, they won't listen to your mum.

Trust me - my Mum is a teacher, and the amount of stuff parents come out with about their darling children is unbelievable. The ones who are telling the truth just get lost.

Definitely what Octohedral says. This has to come from school. I'm a mum, a teacher and a sixth form tutor, and your mum won't be doing you any favours, I assure you. Send her in to see the head of sixth instead,
