Re: AS Geography, a good option?
Its not hard I just found it really boring in my case. You have to learn a lot more case studies then at GSCE level that are completly excessive and you could find yourself re-learning GCSE content as some of it is repeated depending on what areas you covered at GCSE. So take it for AS and your do fine to get by, but just make sure you drop it after that.

Re: AS Geography, a good option?Cheers mate think I'll do exactly that, don't mind the boring memorising and learning most my other AS's are like that(Original post by CF25)

Re: AS Geography, a good option?Yeah heard that from other people so that's the one I will drop decided that already, cheers(Original post by sclez1)
For AS I'd say go for it. At A2 it's hard in certain ways (memorising 50 case studies per topic is just madness) but I found that at AS it just built on GCSE and wasn't that much of a step up. -
Re: AS Geography, a good option?
Go for it! It's a great subject and despite what people say there's more to it than just knowing captital cities and flags! It's a great AS to have and you can get a good grade in it, it's not easy (its not film studies!) but providing that you have a good memory for the details of case studies you'll do fine and everyone I know who took it enjoyed it. I do the AQA course and the AS in both human and physical is really interesting.
