Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012If you completed the probability tree diagram correctly they should award you 1 mark. If you began to work out how many biscuits would be the same/not the same, i guess you would pick up another 2 marks.(Original post by Bavan123)
Thanks! And, the probability biscuits one, if I started that and did a probability tree but the time ran out whilst I was on the question, would I pick up any marks on it? -
Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012Oh I seee, Thank you!(Original post by lebron_23)

Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012No, you first had to work out how many korunas in £200 and then you would have to work out from there how many notes you need. I think (do not quote me as i can't remember the exact question) that you had to divide the answer you got by 200. You then get a decimal number of 51...something and as you obviously can't have half or whatever of a note, you must round down.(Original post by elsher)
For the holiday money, isnt the answer 5? because the question asked how many 100 koruna notes and it was 5 of 100 koruna notes? -
Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012Most probably. I don't see the boundaries for an A being higher than that.(Original post by Freddy-Francis)
I think i got about 70 in both papers. Will that get me an A? -
Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012True xD(Original post by lebron_23)

Oh I seee, Thank you!

Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012Yes, the first being the parellel lines question, and the last being the vectors question.(Original post by another_member)
There were only 26 questions? -
Did question 25 ask for your answer in its simplest form? I put 222/380. :P
And since when were vectors back on the syllabus?! This is the 4th time I've sat these papers and we've always been taught they wouldn't come up, and so haven't done them. Not cool. -_-
So yeah, I reckon I'll probably come out with an A for the third time, because the grade boundaries for A* never move away from 160, and I'm probably looking at about 150/200. Sad times!

Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012I assume you meant grade boundaries? And no, no one is QUITE aware of what they will be like, but we can sure hazard a guess at it. My original thought after the non calculator paper was that the grade boundary for and A* would be in the region of 80-82 for each paper as the paper was fairly difficult. However, after sitting the calculator paper, i think that may rise by a few marks. For an A, i don't think i should be higher than 140, and for a B i don't see why it should be higher than 90/100.(Original post by bethholdenn)
thankyou! does anyone know what the mark scheme will be like because apparently its going to be high this year
EDIT: These are all estimates. I have likely guessed most of these wrong as i am terrible at guessing, so please do not hold me accountable!!!! -
Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012I don't think question 25 asked for the simplest form, so i think you would probably get the full marks on that question. Good luck, hope you get an A*!!!!(Original post by Scott_eth)

Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012This i am not sure of. I guess they would put your raw mark on your certificate(Original post by carbonita)
is the maths mark we get on our certificate a raw mark or UMS?

Re: Mr M’s Edexcel GCSE Mathematics A Higher Linear Paper 2 Answers June 2012160 being the absolute minimum, and probably 167/8 being the maximum. At a guess that is...(Original post by bethholdenn)
thank you! does anyone know what the grade boundaries are going to be like to get an A* ??Last edited by lebron_23; 14-06-2012 at 08:58.
