I beg to differ.(Original post by UPPSY)
it is kicking a ball look under sport
PE is not a qualification (I know it is but not a real one, not in my book)

...without PE the large majority of people would probably be over weight, if not obese. PE reduces the strain on the NHS and improves health. It is an academic subject. The physiology side includes things that are on the biology syllabus such as the sliding filament theory etc and the psychology side involves theories and parts of the syllabus in psychology. The contemporary section looks at the history of sport and it's development through the industrial revaluation, urbanisation (something I've covered on my history course) as well as the Olympics ...I could go on.(Original post by UPPSY)

Re: Why isn't there a section for Physical Education?Very true. I hate Oxbridge too but that is probably every Russell Group University's opinion.(Original post by Id and Ego seek)

Re: Why isn't there a section for Physical Education?Because there's no demand for one. The small few don't need their own section. Like I said, a thread'll do.(Original post by Charlotte_19)

It's harder than GCSE science, I did no revision and got an A in Physics at GCSE...(Original post by ACunningham)

, a cliffhanger, an element of rape, a main character who gets aroused by roadkill, a paedophile who isn't really a paedophile but everyone thinks he is up until it is discovered his neighbour (a violin teacher) is and they dig up his garden and find thousands of skeletons belonging to penguins and also it should be set in continental Europe.
It's not. See AQA Q1 January 2011 A level PE. -
Re: Why isn't there a section for Physical Education?I'm currently in my A2 year and about to go to medical school and I have to say last years P.E was my hardest subject, despite doing well in it I found it more difficult than A2 Chemistry! It requires a broad range of understanding from the science of Anatomy and Physiology, the ability to study theories and case studies related to psychology and a good understanding of the world and cultures when studying sport in Australia and America. Also you have to be physically active to do well in the practical section of the course therefore it encourages good health.(Original post by UPPSY)

PE is not a qualification (I know it is but not a real one, not in my book)
Therefore anybody who thinks that P.E isn't a real qualification think again!Last edited by This guy over here; 13-06-2012 at 20:40. -
Re: Why isn't there a section for Physical Education?
I think it's best to post in the Maths, Science and Technology forum as it includes discussion about Sports Science, which is the cloest you're going to get to PE.
