Nice - I'm off to Leicester

I completely agree, london isn't too bad, but I welcome the change.

Pharmacy seems really interesting, I hope the recent news on job prospects post graduation aren't true. I'll be studying medicine
Yeah, it wouldn't matter where I'd grew up, after 12 years here I am completely ready for a change.

I'm hoping it will be, and yeah, with any luck things will clear up soon. There have to be jobs somewhere. Failing that, I guess I'll have a go at being a failed actress. Medicine, nice. You're braver than me, I don't mind blood but I look at internal organs and my blood pretty much freezes.

Maybe the harmonica?? Easier to carry

Not in the first week anyways...

But we're off to uni!! Let the fun begin Apparently UEA is linked to UCS...but I have no clue how that works...
Think the triangle is more within my ability.

No, that can at least wait until week 2.

YAY!!!!!! So excited. Yeah, UEA has a campus in London somewhere, not sure which courses they do on the London campus though. Not pharmacy, anyway.

Question, was it weird being there a day early? Cause I think I'm moving in like a week before everyone else...

I love reading so its no problem for me to read for 5 days straight
It will be a strange experience at first, but at least you can get use to the accommodation and surrounding area without worrying about making new friends as well.

I remember seeing that you're off to UEA? I hope I'm correct - if you are, you'll love it there. I have some friends who go there and they said it was the best decision they ever made.

Haha - I'm actually quite looking forward to the cadaveric dissections, should be interesting. Not every day you get to cut open a dead person!

Yeah I am. I'm so excited it's ridiculous. That's good news then.

Not exactly a common thing in my life, no. Sounds like you're the right guy for the job though, at least you're enthusiastic about it. I'd hate it. Gimme chemicals anyday.

Don't worry about it. You'll barely have time to unpack before everyone else who is an unbelievably similar position to you will meet you and then you won't have a moment's peace until the holidays. And you'll love every second.

YES. The humble triangle, yet awesome triangle

Wouldn't want to miss all of Freshers being in jail

So many unis have campuses all over the place...I will never understand. I've learnt my campus, like you have

Blood I can deal with as long as it's not a dead person

Actually, I want to play the lute. "The lute is the coolest of all medieval stringed instruments."

Unless I was playing monopoly. Even then.

I know some uni's have campuses in other countries. Doesn't Medway have one abroad somewhere? I looked into Medway a while ago, sure it had something like that.

Nah, chemicals are cool! I spent my Chemistry investigation boiling tea and mocking/being mocked by my classmates. Good fun. One guy had something that became referred to as "the alien foetus" and another guy was making things glow. I had weird indicators so my tea basically went through an entire rainbow of colours before it finished. Not as fun as setting fire to chemicals though. Borderline pyromaniac...

Ah yes the lute The coolness of the medieval instrument will give you an edge that nobody else has...it may even help you stay out of jail by offering free lessons/performances...:P

I was originally only going to apply for unis that had campuses in the US...changed my mind when I realised how hard it was to get into Social Work, just chose the ones that accepted me
    Is Medway Kent Uni?

I did love blowing things up and making them glow...I'm positive our teacher poisoned us, since we had some radioactive liquid/gas spilled in the room and none of us had googles or masks...and the doors and windows were locked...

Borderline? Uni will straighten you out for sure...

I like that plan. I will serenade the police by playing Greensleeves and they'll have to let me off.

Yeah, it is. Ah, fair enough. I never even thought about America. Not that I hate the place, I just don't have a consuming passion to go there. Not enough to justify the costs, anyway.

I'm pretty sure my brain has been addled by chemicals. Same thing happened in our class. And explosions/flying glass. I'm amazed I'm not deaf and blind by now.

Yep. Except the campus to be burned to the ground by October.

That is a perfect plan XD Maybe get a variety of songs, just in case...

US was in my plans for a while, I was even gunna try uni there...but the money  I decided it's better to save up what I can and go for fun later in life...

    But the money...dude...

Maybe you are and everyone's been humouring you ;D Or you've been in a chemically induced coma for the past 5 years...

October? You're slacking here...I thought it would be gone by September!! :O

this thread is a poor troll, right?

once my mum was gone, i went and talked to my new flatmates, we went down to the union to pick up our freshers bands, went for a pint then went back to the flat and had an epic party, which pretty much set up the next 3 years.

more to come in my final year i hope. might pretend i'm a fresher again.

    Good idea.

Haha, I know! Kind of puts things into perspective when I start getting freaked out about our fees. Yeah, my parents tell me the same thing. I want to go to New Zealand though.

Ah, that would explain a lot.

Well, I don't want to ruin my fresher's week.

Brownies are NEVER weird. I repeat, brownies are NEVER weird.

Or maybe I'm weird for saying that.

Anyhoo, if they are awesome you may end up baking for the whole year...
