Hahaha I actually love the poster idea, I would do it myself. But I'm not sure others would find it very cool/normal.
I'm not actually doing the poster thing hopefully my chicken doorstop will be inviting enough

If you apply this theory to everyone then apparently I'm a blue plant.
I have also seen someone with the username PaedoBear before. Don't worry, I'm quite convinced username does not define origin/species.

set up my room and see what the download speeds are like on the uni internet.

then torrent the reading list so I don't have to buy that many books.

Absolutely! And a list of food allergies so people know what food they need to avoid buying, because I'm a food stealer and I'd hate for them to buy something I'm allergic to and kill me. So inconvenient.

Oh gosh that is definitely a must! I'd hate to be inconsiderate and not tell them which food they may or may not eat. Just looking out for the general well-being of the group.

I really wouldn't worry about it,I know it might seem daunting but once people start drinking and socialising it's really great and you'll make lots of friends

Also, what sort of activities do the universities organise for people to get to know each other (if any)?

Aha I know once I get some drink in me everything will be fine, but I'm really shy around new people, and the first meeting of new people makes me feel really awkward and this is all of that to the extreme! D:

It's so important to establish a good group dynamic. God, we're going to be idolized by our flatmates.

I spent most of mine on the bog. Was a kebab that didn't settle properly.

I'm gonna break out of my shell and just knock on peoples door and introduce myself. That's the best thing to do.

Or better still, knock down ginger :teehee:

For a group of seemingly smart people on TSR there are a surprising amount of people who never seem to grasp sarcasm whatsoever.

If my flatmates don't vote for me as Flatmate Queen (ballots will be handed out after a couple of hours once we've got to know each other and discussed my own eating preferences etc.) I literally won't know what I've been doing wrong.
