Hi i am doing an assignment of the olympics but need to know who these athletes are/were as we first need to investigate.

I THINK the first is Sebastian Coe, but it's a bit of a strange picture... Sebastian Coe was a middle-distance runner who won 1500m gold medals at the 1980 and 1984 Olympics.

The second picture is definitely Colin Jackson, a 110m hurdler, 3-time World Champion but never Olympic champion, (he won Silver once) and held the 110m world-record of 12.91 for over a decade.

Why are you doing an assignment on Olympics without knowing anything about sport?

"know nothing about sport?" well i think that is a bit ignorant of you as i know a great deal of things about sport just not British athletics.

I am from Australia and we are doing an assignment on the Olympics and the awareness in different countries, I was given Britain just like someone else was given the US.

I have added 3 new pictures as i didn't realise there was a page 2 lol

So any help on these 3 is appreciated.

The swimmer is Mark Foster, not to sure about the other two sorry. Oh and at first glimpse I thought your first picture was Steve Cram.

The first is Seb Coe, the second one is Colin Jackson and the third is Mark Foster. Seb is helping to organise this years Olymics, if that's any use.

The guy with the moustache looks like Daley Thompson, a British gold medalist in the decathlon. The girl is Keri-Anne Payne, a British swimmer.
