Replace Graduate scheme dropouts?
Every year lot a students drop-out of graduate schemes in the last minute, usually to take up another job offer.
Do you know how companies fill in these empty spaces?
Has anyone ever received a rejection after the final stage interview, only to be called back?
Or are 'waiting list' offers ever made? Has anyone received one? Or do they just not get back to you for a long time, till the last minute and offer you a vacancy- has this happened to anyone?
I've heard there are recruitment agencies that find people for these last minute vacancies. Does anyone know any such recruitment consultancy? -
Re: Replace Graduate scheme dropouts? They don't necessarily create empty spaces. Grad schemes can 'over offer' in the knowledge that x% will drop out, just the same as universities do. Also, unlike universities, they are probably more flexible on taking one or two people too many or too few in an intake, they don't have HEFCE watching over them for over recruiting or under-recruiting.(Original post by Tomlones)

Re: Replace Graduate scheme dropouts?
No, HR at grad schemes will not fill last minute places as all applications have to go through the formal assessment process. Don't listen to any recruitment agents that say otherwise.
By grad scheme I mean Times 100 kind of grad scheme, which I assume is what you are talking about. -
Re: Replace Graduate scheme dropouts?Don't. They are stretching the truth (see above).(Original post by randomgeeza)

Re: Replace Graduate scheme dropouts?Actually, at the place I'm interning at at the moment there is a girl who got an offer at the very last minute and manage to skip all almost all of the formal recruitment process (assessment centres etc.) as someone else declined the place. She got it through a recruitment agency.(Original post by ForKicks)

Anyway GRB turned out pretty useless- didn't hear anything from them at all after registering. -
Re: Replace Graduate scheme dropouts?Same. Not that they appear to have anything worth applying to anyway, but you never know.(Original post by Tomlones)
