IOS 6
Apple just keeps getting better and better!
What do you think and what features are you looking forward to most?

Re: IOS 6So what don't you like about IOS 6? I mean, I think there are few features that should have been already out like turn by turn nav given how out they have been now but I do like the upgrades like passbook and the new calling features.(Original post by hassi94)
Don't get me wrong, I mean there are some things they're doing that're great. iOS 6 isn't one of them. -
Re: IOS 6I don't necessarily dislike anything but it's such a paltry 'improvement' on iOS 5. I wish they'd try and be a bit more adventurous or at least allow the user to be. For example the terrible 'homescreen' - why can't they actually have a homescreen instead of apps - it just makes so much sense yet I think they're avoiding it out of nothing but fear that they'll be accused of 'copying' Android.(Original post by KrisBu)

Re: IOS 6Isn't turn by turn only available for iPhone 4S+ ?(Original post by KrisBu)

Re: IOS 6Good reply. I guess it's the same as saying the opposite of love is not hate. It's indifference. So you don't dislike their improvements but you're not necessarily excited about them either. As for the home screen interface, i think it's kinda of a trademark. You can't go wrong when you see one. I personally don't have an issue with it. I like it and I'm used to iphone's to know any better.(Original post by hassi94)

It's available on IOS 6 and so compatible with the 3GS upwards. Probably with less features available as you go down the ladder but it is available.(Original post by estel)

Re: IOS 6Picture says that it only supports iPhone 4S/iPad2 and the new iPad(Original post by KrisBu)

Re: IOS 66!?(Original post by Camoxide)
Facetime over 3G wil only be available on the 4s aswell.
Good thing I have the 4S then :P
I'll probably sell it for the iPhone 6 this autumn anyway though.
I imagine that's a typo

Re: IOS 6They've always done that as a way of phasing out old hardware to force consumers to purchase expensive upgrades. iOS 5 for instance was incompatible with the iPod touch gen 1 & 2 and the iPhone 3G. iOS 6 is going to phase out the iPod touch 3rd gen and original iPad.(Original post by Axion)
doesn't even include the first ipad. thats rather pathetic/sneaky of apple -
Re: IOS 6Hmm I guess so but I doubt they'll call it the iPhone 6(Original post by Camoxide)
Nope. It'll be the 6th iPhone. Calling it the iPhone 5 would make it the first iPhone with a name that makes no sense.

Re: IOS 6On the plus side, Apple users will actually get the upgrade installed on their phone as and when they want it.(Original post by hassi94)

Only 5-7% of Android users have Icecream Sandwich, with like 20% still on Froyo. -
Re: IOS 6
iPod Touch kind of gets thrown to the side, as usual. There's absolutely no reason why it couldn't run SIRI. That's what annoys me a bit about apple, they'll hype something up massively, patting themselves on the back about what a feat of engineering x is and then when the new model/new device comes out they abandon the old one to make people by the successor.
Apparently it works for them though... -
Re: IOS 6Well okay, but look at how many devices have ice cream sandwich which are in the same price range as the iPhone (don't think there's such a statistic but I hope you see my point). People can't keep comparing a budget android device to the very very premium iPhone (especially comparing contract prices). Budget android devices are low on power and support - that's what you get for your money.(Original post by Fallen)

Re: IOS 6What about the the 3GS?(Original post by Camoxide)

I agree with you that they'll probably (hopefully) be moving to just calling it iPhone. -
