Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12yeaah i got those answers as well(Original post by katiesmith18)
I think it was a pretty easy paper, but that may mean that the UMS marks might be quite high.
Did people get the value of p (on the vectors q) to be 7?
And do the differential equation q, did you get t = 17.9? -
I think I had 0.4201 but I'm not 100% sure.(Original post by gwenllian94)
What did everyone get for question 7b? Think I misread that question.. and how many marks was it?
It was worth 4 marks.

Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12If i remember right, I think i got 210, 330, 48.6 and 131.4(Original post by The_boat)
What was everyone's answers to 3a? I think I made a mistake on that question -
Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12I think I had about that(Original post by Holby_fanatic)

Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12O good, I got those. Thought I'd messed up somewhere on that(Original post by gwenllian94)

Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12
exam was ok, minus little stupid ends of questions.
for 6b i think u had 2 sub in 3 as x and 3 as y thats how i got the equation
then find a factor of the equation and do division
leads to
x=1 x=-2 x=3
the 3 one links with the parameter therefore
x = 1 and x = -2 and just sub in to find y.
couldn't do the cos2delta bit on question 3a as I'm rubbish with brackets however just guessed at them and carried on to get c.f.e
3b there were only 2 angles but had to make sure you minuses delta from it all
i.e there was a 40degree angle which ended up outside range, but a 400degree one that ended up well in the range.
question 1 and 2 were nice as normal, as well as 9 + 10.
stupid error made on end of double angle with largest angle as didn't substitute in the Rsin(x-a) into it. massive ache.
the differential equation was ok except the second part as different to most of the others, luckily able to do second part from data they gave you.
all in all ok paper, just need the marks.
Has anyone got the paper they can scan onto here so can look in regards to what marks i was likely to get? Ta -
Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12I think I had 1/4? Can't really remember, that maybe have been a different question.(Original post by idigdn91)
what did people get for 1b?
Was a good exam, but I couldn't do the substitution and dropped one or two marks where I couldn't quite get the last bit of a few questions, and I didn't have enough time to try question 10. -
Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12I had 1/4 for 1b.(Original post by idigdn91)

Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12The paper is in my original post, I'll edit it to include the marks per question though(Original post by rossdiamond)

Re: WJEC Mathematics C4 14/06/12
Typical that I got the values of the vectors wrong *facepalm*, I had p=-1, therefore I must have had either one or two of the other values wrong! Does anyone else simplify the vector equation of the line to something like (for example) i(4+lambda)+j(1-2lambda)+k(3+4lambda) or do they leave it as a+lambda(AB)?
I'm hoping they only take 2-3 marks off for getting the values wrong.. got damn +- signs! -

what did everyone get for volume of a revolution?
Although knowing me it's probably wrong. -.-
