Re: Hardest A Levels Poll? AS + A2..
I do art & design (aqa), biology (aqa), physics (aqa) and I've done a2 and as Maths (edexcel) in a year. (I can only comment note as levels mostly)
Although art is always portrayed as an easy subject, it Bloomin ain't! Only doing the whole a level of Maths in a year came close to art in terms of work- its all coursework, which is always easy to get good marks with. Maybe It's just my school, or because art is a subjective/opinion stove subject, but it's really hard to push into a grades with the fantastically vague specification.
Maths was simple, no backwards answer styles or examiner mischief, but it's hard work to keep practising, so I found that Not making stupid mistakes was the hardest part of Maths, rather than he actual content or problems (although C4 wasnt fun)
I don't want to cause offence here, but this year aqa biology as level was easy, the answer style was the same as GCSEs (you could list keywords for most answers and get all the marks). Other specifications might be different?
I think physics was the next hardest to art in my combination (probably more so because we took both modules at the end of the year which I hate). The picky answer styles were tricky, although the content was fine after if you had a good teacher explain the concepts logically.
*for validity purposes only: I achieved a grades in those subjects.
