Do you guys not have a house? -
Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe? What kind of question is that?(Original post by 123formyabc)
Do you guys not have a house?
Just because people have a house, doesn't mean they have to spend all their time within it. It's good to revise outside, it makes it more interesting.
I spend about 45minutes to an hour. -
Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe? No. I live in a cardboard box. It's not so bad when the weather's nice but when it rains I'd rather be somewhere I can't get soaked. I have been kicked out on occasion for stealing people's drinks and stuff though but I just come back again in disguise. They never know.(Original post by 123formyabc)

Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe?
My friend and I went to a pub to revise yesterday, and were there for a good 3 hours.
Not quite what you asked, as I wasn't alone, but if there's nice weather and a decent beer garden, I'd happily do the same alone. I'd be more conscious of deliberately buying more drinks, though. -
Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe?By who?(Original post by ice_man)
I was taught to never sit alone in a cafe. -

By who?
OP, as long as I need; usually hours. -
Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe?friends/ older siblings(Original post by KlaireDelilah)
By who?
I'll probably get negged for this, but sitting alone alludes to a lone star who has no friends.(Original post by Pheylan)
And why?
Why don't people study in libraries instead?! -
Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe? Why does it matter? You'd still be sat alone...(Original post by ice_man)

Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe? But that's the whole purpose of libraries - to study/quiet reading. Cafes are for people to socialise.(Original post by KlaireDelilah)

Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe?Cafes are actually to get a drink/some food, people just choose to socialise there.(Original post by ice_man)
But that's the whole purpose of libraries - to study/quiet reading. Cafes are for people to socialise.
I like to study in a coffee shop because my house is loud and my housemates don't really care if I'm trying to study, and I like to have a drink - which isn't allowed in my local Library. -
Re: When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe?Because having access to caffeine makes revision much more bearable...(Original post by ice_man)

I've never done it on my own, find it easier just to stay at home if I'm not meeting people, but me and a friend stayed about 3-4 hours in cafe nero revising yesterday. Not sure how much of that was spent eating paninis but yeah
