When alone, how long would you spend in a cafe?
I normally spend about 45 minutes trying to study in a cafe before I get self-conscious that I'm annoying the baristas.

As long as I keep refilling my drink or coffee I usually stay for a couple of hours

    Houses are too mainstream.

What kind of question is that?
Just because people have a house, doesn't mean they have to spend all their time within it. It's good to revise outside, it makes it more interesting.

I spend about 45minutes to an hour.

No. I live in a cardboard box. It's not so bad when the weather's nice but when it rains I'd rather be somewhere I can't get soaked. I have been kicked out on occasion for stealing people's drinks and stuff though but I just come back again in disguise. They never know. :holmes:

My friend and I went to a pub to revise yesterday, and were there for a good 3 hours.

Not quite what you asked, as I wasn't alone, but if there's nice weather and a decent beer garden, I'd happily do the same alone. I'd be more conscious of deliberately buying more drinks, though.

It wouldn't bother me, as long as I wasn't taking up too much room and it wasn't too busy.

    friends/ older siblings

    And why?
I'll probably get negged for this, but sitting alone alludes to a lone star who has no friends.

Why don't people study in libraries instead?!

Why does it matter? You'd still be sat alone...

But that's the whole purpose of libraries - to study/quiet reading. Cafes are for people to socialise.

Cafes are actually to get a drink/some food, people just choose to socialise there.

I like to study in a coffee shop because my house is loud and my housemates don't really care if I'm trying to study, and I like to have a drink - which isn't allowed in my local Library.

Because having access to caffeine makes revision much more bearable...

I've never done it on my own, find it easier just to stay at home if I'm not meeting people, but me and a friend stayed about 3-4 hours in cafe nero revising yesterday. Not sure how much of that was spent eating paninis but yeah
