Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012Yeah, low grade boundaries though(Original post by kenau)
yup,and I just got a high C ..........
So this paper may going to be horrible
As the jan 2012 C4 was difficult,but the june one is jst much difficult than the january one,so I don't think this paper is become easier

Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012I'm doing it as an AS module, so I've had like 3 weeks since my last exam (or at least i would've done if I didn't have clarinet grade 6 last week). I've spent the time doing all the past papers (except June 2011, which I'm saving for the day before), and working through the horrendous "textbook" on the website a lot.(Original post by kenau)
So that should be great if the boundary is really low

How many revision have you done
?
I actually got 54/75 on Jan 2012, suprisingly, which was on the grade boundary for an A (yay for low grade boundaries!) -
Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012ya me too.I am doing it in AS on this year as well,but I was also did the C4 paper,So I have 1.5 week to prepare each exam...Normally I can keep the grade between C and B if ignore the grade boundary....So I am hoping the low grade boundary as well:P Just go through the official notes again and again...Hope I can do it better in the real exam.I have already did all the pp that I have,but I am goin to go through them again...(Original post by M^2012)

Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012When you find the image of (x, x/2+k), you get:(Original post by Europe Skies)
Can anyone help me on Q6 bi) from June 11? I just can't seem to get my head around it.
x' = 3x + 4k
y' = 3x/2 -k
I noticed that as 3x/2 * 2 = 3x :
2y' = 3x -2k
2y' - x' = -2k -4k
2y' - x' = -6k
2y' = x' -6k
y' = x'/2 -3k <--- The answer
However, there's no way I'd manage that in exam conditions, haha.

Yeah, I just got 73/75 on one, but that was June 2006, and they were so much easier back then. Also, the fact that the official notes show hardly any working and are generally the most ambiguous things ever doesn't help. -
Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012yup,those question on the notes is not helpful,and the explain and difinition is not enough(Original post by M^2012)

How much confident do you have to get an A? -
Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012In most of the recent past papers that I've done (2010 onwards), I've been on the borderline between the two. I think that I'll get an A if I don't make too many silly mistakes and if I hold myself together, but we'll see...(Original post by kenau)

Re: AQA Further Pure 4 - June 22nd 2012I have no confident to get an A for this paper.However,I usually get a B or C,if they make a low boundary I think it can push my grade higher.Anyway,I don't think this paper is going to be easier,so good luck brother(Original post by M^2012)
