I went and saw 3OH!3 by myself in Bournemouth in May last year, and it was the BEST NIGHT OUT EVER! Even though it was by myself, I got a handshake from Sean - Nothing can beat that! :P If they hadn't changed venues from the O2 to the Old Fire Station, then I doubt that I would have had that handshake. Everything from the support acts to the venue that night was just awesome. I've seen JLS and Cher Lloyd, but yet 3OH!3 was the cheapest, yet best value for money!

It's a guy called Hopsin, far from my usual genre of music, but there's something about him that i really like. Especially as i've been following his music for a while now and he's at such a small venue.
That's good to hear, and indeed, that's very true! thanks
Hopsin?? No way! I'm going by myself to see him in Birmingham!

To answer your actual question, yes it's completely fine to go by yourself. Just keep an eye out for yourself and you will be ok. It's nice actually in a way. There's no friends to worry about or impress, so you can just zone out and enjoy the music, not worrying what people think of you. I went to see Deaf Havana (in my sig ) on my own in Manchester Academy 2 a few months back and that was fine! You will enjoy yourself, and soon, like me, you will start to like going by yourself (although I still usually go with friends :L).

Re: Going to a gig on my own?
I've been to festivals kind of on my own, i tend to go off in some if I came with friends since they don't like the same music I do and ive been at some festivals and gigs where i am properly alone. At the single gig it was awkward and i didnt really like it (but it wasnt a band you could really dance or mosh to or anything to so that might have been why) but at festivals I always have a ball and I meet lots of new people and really have a great time.

The thing is not to care about being alone, its really not an big deal at all. Its really enjoyable. A lot of people will be alone too, I know a lot of my friends go on their own for sure. Just have a good time, maybe have a drink beforehand so you're a bit looser if you are self-conscious, or if you want to stay clearheaded have a red bull (that's what I like to do).

Excellent! I hope you enjoy it! =D

I'm jealous, I really want to see Alice Cooper but I doubt a friend will be interested enough to go to Sheffield. He's one of those artists who I reckon would be unforgettable.

But yeah, I think you should definitely go on your own if you can't find anyone. Besides, if you find someone to go with you and there's still tickets free, that's even better!

Sounds awesome! Did you not feel lonely before and after the gig? and like telling your friends you went on your own...? :P

-how do i view your sig? >.< TSR noob over here haha!
And no way?! How much were the tickets, the Manchester ones get released tomorrow, but i'm away until 4pm so i'll keep my fingers crossed that they won't sell out.
Yeah that's true, once i've done the first one on my own the rest won't seem so bad, and i won't have to miss my favourite bands countless times because noone can be arced coming with me!
    Were Deaf Havana good?

Pre-drinks at my house i imagine, haha - wouldn't get served at sound control being only 17. But thats a really good point i suppose, if i just concentrate on the music and don't think about it it should be ok.
Only with it being a rapper i'm kinda worried about all the really tough/thugs that will be at the gig haha :P (safety in numbers)

I've actually managed to meet other people when I have gone places on my own. There's no shame in going places on your own.

Go to my first post to you and look at the bottom right of the comment box. There should be a little blue down arrow which you have to click and it will open up!

I haven't bought the tickets! I'm just telling myself I will go, so I'm presuming I will get a ticket :P

Deaf Havana were insane. However, as they are a smaller band with lots of guitars, there isn't any pro recording equipment at their gigs, so there aren't any good videos of them live - they all sound tinny. I think they did a few BBC Radio live lounge videos if you youtube it which are in good quality!

Most of my friends either didn't like them/were busy/never heard of them, despite the fact the previous year they had a #4 hit in the UK charts with Katy Perry (how can you not have heard of someone Katy Perry released an international duet with?! CRAZY!) Still, good evening :P

I went last year on my own to Agnostic Front's gig in Underworld. After 3 tequilas I didn't give a **** about it and I had the best time of my life, I ended up jumping form the stage...I wouldn't have done that if I had my retarded friends next to me. :P
